2013 department G Awards
Department G, the environmental stewardship division of the Canadian Home Builders' Association of British Columbia (CHBA BC) is pleased to announce that the Call For Entries for this year's department G Awards is online and ready for submissions.
An annual awards event that has evolved and expanded over the past three years, the department G Awards recognize and honour sustainable superiority in B.C.'s home building and renovation community. The name has been changed - past awards were called the Built Green® BC Awards and the Built Green® and R-2000 Awards - to better reflect that department G encompasses various residential construction programs that promote efficiency and sustainability, including Built Green®, R-2000 and EnerGuide for New Homes.
Now, the department G Awards celebrate all sustainable builders who are involved in one or various certification programs delivered by department G. They recognize builders, renovators and trade partners who go above and beyond to create a sustainable product that is not only spectacular, but also environmentally sensitive, efficient and certified by a third party.
New this year, the Call for Entries has been opened up to both CHBA BC members and non-members, allowing associate companies, trade partners and certified builders the opportunity to have their projects rewarded for their sustainable innovation and design.

Most Affordable Certified Home
Premier Rated Certified Home
Most Innovative Certified Home
Best Certified Whole House Renovation
Best Green Consumer Advertising Campaign
B.C.'s Certified Energy Advisor of the Year
Most Energy Efficient and Sustainable Community
B.C.'s Certified Renovator of the Year
B.C.'s Certified Builder of the Year
Deadline for entries is August 12, 2013 with no extensions.
Awards finalists and winners will be honoured at a special event in Vancouver on September 28, 2013.
