Citimark's Belle Isle Townhomes: BUILT GREEN® Gold in North Van, Wins District Award

With 88 units across 11 buildings, Citimark Group's first project with us was substantial! Belle Isle provides one-to-three bedroom townhomes for progressive families to enjoy park-side living—and it won the 2022 Design Excellence Award by the District of North Vancouver!

Lauded for well-appointed amenity space at the townhomes' center, Belle Isle also provides many pathways to surrounding developments and natural areas, alongside access to a playground, dog park, and rec centre. Citimark thoughtfully included dog wash stations, bike and storage lockers (note: 73 bike score), and their underground parking includes electric vehicle charging stations. Earning BUILT GREEN® Gold, it achieved impressive energy efficiency, alongside a holistic approach to sustainability, including:

• indoor air quality, with ERVs to exchange stale indoor air for fresh outdoor air with energy recovery, alongside low / no-VOC insulation, paints, and adhesives;
• water-saving features—toilets, faucets, dish & clothing washers, plus permeable landscaping with drought-tolerant plants.
• durability—one of the most overlooked aspects of sustainability, but not by Citimark, who earned program points for durable / low-maintenance flooring, finishes, hardware, fixtures, and decking materials for their private, roof-top decks!
